About Us

The North Shore Vintage Dancers was founded in 2012 by members of the Louisiane Vintage Dancers of Baton Rouge,  who wanted to bring historical dance to the Northshore. Our first Regency Ball was themed after the Netherfield Ball from Jane Austen's novel,Pride & Prejudice. We have organized two other summertime balls since our debut. Our 2013 ball was The Meryton Assembly Ball, from Pride & Prejudice and the 2014 ball was The Crown Inn Ball from the novel, Emma. We are currently planning our fourth regency ball for the summer of 2015 in early August.

We teach Regency and Civil War Era dancing and perform at historic sites and Plantation Homes around the state.
